The mission of the A Safer Place for Youth to Reach for Excellence (ASPYRE) Leadership Camp is to help young members of the LGBT community and their allies achieve their personal best through active citizenship and community leadership. •Structure and implement a comprehensive intervention program for adult survivors of sexual assault•Provide individual advocacy and case management services to survivors of sexual assault•Develop and facilitate psycho-educational support groups to enhance the overall wellbeing of adult female survivors of sexual assault•Advocate for victims of sexual assault and stalking by assisting them with obtaining Domestic Violence Protection Orders (50B) or Non-Consensual Sexual Contact and Stalking Orders (50C) and supporting them through legal and court processes.•Coordinate community planning and development via facilitation of a multi-disciplinary DV/SA task force including, law enforcement, SANE nurses, prosecutors, judges, and victim service providers to enhance response and services provided to women and child victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking•Create and facilitate educational sessions and professional trainings for community partners and volunteers to promote collaborative partnerships and community cohesiveness•Supervise volunteers •Organize community-wide events for Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)•Develop and implement surveys, analyze data and utilize the results to enhance existing programs•Complete required grant financial and programmatic reports•Responsible for understanding state and federal grant guidelines and maintaining agency compliance with grant requirements•Partner with state level organizations to ensure effective implementation of federal grants

•Developed and administered Children's Program providing comprehensive services to children impacted by the effects of domestic violence and/or sexual abuse•Provided individual case management and advocacy services to child victims of domestic violence and their non-offending caregivers in order to enhance the overall wellbeing of the family and to promote the attainment of violence free lifestyles•Organized and facilitated support groups for youth ages 5-18•Provided educational trainings for public school administrators, educators, counselors and other child serving community agencies regarding the effects of domestic violence on children and the importance of promoting healthy relationships among preschool and school aged children•Introduced and implemented Safe Dates, an evidence-based violence prevention curriculum in Johnston County middle and high schools•Created a mentor program which provided one on one support for children and youth living in a shelter setting•Coordinated a "Talking About Touching" program in childcare facilities county-wide teaching personal and touching safety skills to preschool aged children•Organized campaigns and public awareness events for Domestic Violence Awareness Month•Recruited and trained program volunteers•Supervised five Bachelor of Social Work student interns•Served on NC Pre-K Committee and Safe Kids Johnston County as the Vice Chair (2 years) and networked with variety of child serving community agencies in order to promote collaborative partnerships and to enhance services provided to child victims of domestic violence and their non-offending caregivers

•Developed and implemented a statewide survey, analyzed data and utilized the results to enhance existing teen pregnancy prevention efforts and programming•Assisted in the development, recruiting and training process of a 13 chapter youth council expansion of Teen Health Now, a youth advocacy council focused on preventing teen pregnancy and the spread of STI's and HIV/AIDS in North Carolina •Planned and facilitated educational retreats for youth and adult leaders•Managed budgets and funding allocation for youth retreats via Excel•Recruited and organized a 16 member teen parent speakers' bureau focused on ensuring teen pregnancy prevention through youth-led political activism efforts at county and state levels•Developed trainings to educate youth and adults on a variety of reproductive health issues including HIV/STI and teen pregnancy prevention•Organized state-wide youth-led prevention and awareness events
