I started out torn between practicing law and architecture, what I viewed as the battle between my right and left brain. As a junior in high school, the left brain won out and I ventured into the world of Architecture and Design. Spending the next five years of design school, pulling all-nighters and developing lasting friendships, solidified my decision to work in a creative industry. I did, however, manage to find a way to expand my enjoyment of reading and writing, by introducing a secondary area of study in History. Today, as a professional licensed architect with IIW-Minnesota, I get to organize, assemble, and solve problems on a daily basis – stepping outside the box, trying something different, and pushing the envelope to provide creative solutions for clients.
