Perform designs of coaxial and fibre solutions for node splits, N+1, N+0, mainline upgrades and ensure the current Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) network is up to standards.Design, draft, and submit third party permits, riser diagrams, and coordinate the timeline with electrical engineers, civil consultants, municipal representatives, and developers and ensure the plant is built on time.Provide coax and fibre construction costs for commercial businesses, residential projects, and mainline upgrades. Update Project Manger on timelines, status and bring attention of delays due to third party approvals. Visit construction sites, MDUs, SFUs, commercial buildings to verify maps, determine route for entrance cable and maintain communication with the customer or property owner. Use SpatialNet and AutoCad to research the area, plan the design, draft the proposed solution and issue to construction. Acted as a team lead in a group of EITs to create a report on the impact of Shaw regarding Alberta Transportation's Highway 2 Improvement Study. Delegated tasks to team members to research portions of the project and integrate their findings in the report. Set up meetings with engineering consultant to gather information regarding a Transportation Utility Corridor. Under the mentorship of a P.ENG, report was submitted to the Director of Critical Infrastructure.

Design outside plant telecommunication infrastructure, such as GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network,) and adhered to engineering guidelines and safety standards. Followed field information to plan how the fibre optic cable will run through a residential and/or business area and rectified any safety issues that were present in the field. Maintained communication with managers and customers to ensure deadlines are met when submitting a design and respond to changes and deliver them in a timely manner.Visit the field to collect and analyze engineering data to develop layout of the design and conclude if additional documentation is needed. Performed quality control on coworkers’ drawings and interacted with each other to ensure the designs follow the right procedure.

Worked in a project that was done by a previous graduate and I focused on processing and analyzing data with MATLAB. The project is about how bicep muscles fatigue over time. Assisted a team of engineers and chemist to develop a prototype to detect particles using laser detection. Using precision and accuracy, another engineering and I made polystyrene solutions of certain concentrations. Additionally, I used a collision nebulizer with an Aerodynamic Particle Sizer with our prototype. Developed skills by working with flow cytometry and equipment such as fiber coupled diode laser and a photodetector and made a pulse width modulation circuit to control microfans and diaphragm used to deliver sheath air.I also acted as a secretary within our team. I was in charge of taking minutes and distributing them to everyone and our supervisor. I was also responsible in ordering supplies and sending out employees’ timesheets to ensure on time salary.

Coordinated with other lab assistants and the Ministry of Environment in a fast- paced environment. I was in charge of weighing approximately 250 membrane filters monthly, shipping them to different parts of the Lower Mainland, and create data reports. Used Microsoft Excel to format reports containing analysis results and create invoices to bill various researches involved in the air quality research. Followed lab procedures and quality control measures to ensure the filters were uncontaminated and results were not erred.
