I taught 3rd grade for 12 years. During that time I became interested in online learning. By the end of my teaching career I had 90% of the class work being completed online. To facilitate getting class work online, I needed to learn about the web. I learned a lot. I became proficient in CSS and HTML. I also worked with a lot of different CMS's, trying to find the best learning platform for my students.I took what I learned and shared with my colleagues, presenting at conferences and being published in Social Studies and the Young Learner.In 2011 I decided it was time to pursue web design as a career. I was fortunate enough to be hired by McAllister Software Systems. I used what I had learned to create templates for the PetWise CMS, custom sites, and technical support for over 800 websites.I spent seven years as the front end admin for Shelter Insurance. I managed shelterinsurance.com as well as many intranet sites for different departments.I am now the Scrum Master for the team I was a member of for seven years. I can't wait to see what the team can do.
