The Tuktuk Tournament is a real-world gamification event and a destination promotional event, where participants engage with other teams across Sri Lanka to collect the most points in a given time and kilometre limit. The event aims to get participants off the beaten track and into a magical journey experiencing real, authentic Sri Lanka. in a game-like setting, all while driving their very own tuktuk and supporting the local economy. The events has partnered with various national and international brands like RedBull, Heineken, Lion Brewery and Sri Lanka Tourism Promotional Bureau.

Restaurant A La Plancha is a pop-up restaurant open in sunny weather during the spring and summer months. Located on the abutment of the old Willemsbrug over the river Maas on the Noordereiland in Rotterdam. Operates as a social business in terms of employment, community and neighbourhood involvement, sustainable where possible in terms of products. Here, I was responsible for all aspects of this complex concept, from building up to breaking down the pop-up restaurant, to storing inventory, hiring, training and supporting our 85+ staff members, negotiating and liaising with suppliers, and making sure things ran as smoothly as possible all while handling operations within government restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Followed by taking A La Plancha to phase 2.0:Stakeholder to ShareholderThe head company of A La Plancha declared bankruptcy in 2021. I formulated a plan and redistributed ownership of the business to the restaurant's main stakeholders (people from the neighbourhood, regulars, suppliers) by selling shares digitally on the blockchain. With the finances acquired, I was able to invest in long-term (sustainable) improvements and together take over the adjacent café and turn that into a full-time home for the now community-based restaurant.The restaurant is now owned by people who care most about it, turning customers and suppliers into ambassadors and securing them into a long-term business model where they decide what's in the best interest of the business.
