In 2017, when I was coming into a whole new industry, a completely different world to what I'd experienced before, I felt like a complete newbie again. Luckily, I had Greg there, who reached out a hand to help me as I was adapting to the weird and wonderful world of video conferencing. He was the man with the plan, a plan not driven by some "20 years from now" ideology, but a plan to do the things necessary and take care of our customers. He was one of the busiest people in the shop, but always took the time to explain problems, talk about software architecture and share from his pool of experience. And he never spent more time talking than he spent listening. Greg, however experienced, always took my ideas and views as seriously as anyone else with 10+ years more experience. That, and his hands-off, anti-micro-management approach gave me the confidence to experiment and try new stuff, while knowing I had someone around who would help pick up the pieces when I broke everything. I greatly appreciate everything I learned from Greg, and I would love to work with him again."
