Wilbert’s Patent current practice covers all aspects of the patent procurement, including patent drafting, prosecution and in particular oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office (EPO), advise on IP strategy and IP portfolio management for research and business development, strategic and competitive environment analysis including freedom of action and product clearances and patent litigation support work.After graduation in the science and art of natural sciences at the Radboud University of Nijmegen Wilbert worked as scientist and R&D project manager at DSM. He specialised in polymer technology at The NetherlandsTechnical University of Eindhoven and later developed to become a patent attorney in house at DSM where he has done patent prosecution mainly in fiber technology and engineering plastics and litigation coordination for high performance fibers. Wilbert entered private practice joining a leading international IP law firm Howrey to become a partner and in 2011 was involved in establish a new pan European IP firm Hoyng Monegier, where he became responsible for the firm's patent prosecution practice. In 2015 Hoyng Monegier joined forces with German IP boutique ROKH to establish HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER with 7 offices in DE, NL, BE, FR and ES.
