My responsibilities as a student technology consultant include assisting students, faculty and staff with their technology issues at Syracuse University. I work at the Information Technology Services (ITS) Help Desk in both an in-person and remote capacity. In person, I help people with a wide array of matters, including anything from establishing a WiFi connection to fixing a computer that will not start. Remotely, I answer phones and assist with various technology issues. Working remotely presents unique challenges because I cannot physically observe the problem and have to leverage my strong communication skills to understand the concern and present the remediation. The best part about working for the ITS Help Desk is observing the appreciation and relief from customers once their issue is resolved. Show less

• Currently authoring opinion articles for The Daily Orange, the main newspaper for Syracuse University. I write about anything from athletics to COVID-19 and much more• Manage other columnists' articles weekly, helping to edit and advise• Create articles with one of top most clicks of The Daily Orange's stories each week

Mentored students through the class, answering any questions and giving them advice for the papers due for class. Provided office hours for my students. Readily available to answer my students' emails and teach them how to solve problems for the class.

I helped to to facilitate activities with kids -- such as helping them with their homework, using creative skills to make projects, and going outside for fun -- once they were done with school. I advised the kids and created strong relationships with them in order to help them not only with their school work, but also with any other problems they had going on.

Learned about opportunities of North Carolina and toured many government buildings in Raleigh. I also was able to meet Governor Roy Cooper at the end of the experience!
