I worked as a deployed OCONUS site maintenance lead. I was in charge of that sites’ maintenance team as well as working in conjunction with the site lead to handle logistics. My daily duties included:- performing crew chief duties to include launch and recovery of aircraft and all phases of aircraft maintenance. - Train and evaluate incoming mechanics to the standard as set forth by the company. - Maintain thorough maintenance logs to track aircraft and component hours, as well as monitor for any deficiencies in aircraft performance. - Track inventory and logistical needs to ensure that all necessary parts and equipment were on hand or could be ordered when necessary. - Perform aircraft and equipment modifications with the assistance of the offsite engineering department. - In addition to regular maintenance duties, I was also the site technical inspector and was the final signing authority to clear an aircraft as ready for flight.

As a member of the Breast and Skeletal Health Department, I maintained and repaired OEM and outside vendor equipment at various hospitals and clinics in the Pittsburgh area. The types of equipment I was certified on include devices such as digital mammogram machines, bone density scanners, and biopsy sample X-ray machines. I performed all phases of maintenance which included preventative and emergency.

- Perform preflight checklists and participate in mission briefings.- Review Airspace requirements and operate systems safely and within requirements of applicable flight regulations as required by the OEM, Military, Unit and specific location requirements.- Operate UAS and monitors UAS "health" systems. Respond to emergency procedures as required.- Operate various sensor systems as required by the mission.- Participate in post mission debriefing. Fill out appropriate forms and prepares for following days operations.- Utilize checklist and appropriate operations manuals to operate the UAV safely.- Assist with various maintenance actions as required by the Site Manager.Platform: Scan Eagle. Positions held: Squad Leader/Aircraft Operator/Aircraft Commander/Mission Coordinator/Unit Trainer- Participating in and overseeing safe and efficient flight operations- Mission planning - Creating flight schedules for a UAS detachment. - Allocating numerous Unmanned Aircraft assets for multiple missions while deconflicting with outside Units.- Completing risk assessment documentation, gathering meteorological data, maintaining flight records for the unit, creating and instructing periods of training through multiple platforms such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint on various aviation topics such as infrared theory, electronics, LASER safety, mechanics of flight etc.Platform: RQ-7B Shadow. - Prepare and assemble ordnance for shipping to various defense customers. - Follow strict standard operating procedures and safety guidelines for ordnance assembly and explosive substance mixes. - Maintain extensive inventory records for multiple storage locations.

- I deployed to Afghanistan as a contractor assigned to operate the Aerostat Persistent Ground Surveillance System, an unmanned surveillance platform. My duties involved efficient payload operations for successful coverage of numerous missions for the unit in which we supported and safe and effective launch and recovery of the Aerostat for routine maintenance. I performed maintenance work that included: electrical repair of the camera, repair of fiber optic lines, preventative maintenance on the entire system, and tower climbing to patch the hull.
