Though we were working in vastly different departments, I had the pleasure of working with her, among other interns, on an intern specific project that ran through the full summer. The project tasked was to create an application which helps facilitate the communication between parent and student about college financing. The role I played in this project was the Project Manager, so I was able to oversee all parts of the project, ensure each team knew which tasks needed to be complete, and assist in any way to ensure the project was completed. Within this role I worked closely with each team member, but Liz really made an impact on my time as an intern and stood out as someone to turn to when work needed to be completed. For the project, Liz was part of the technology team who was responsible for putting together the visuals of the application as well as researching proper techniques for web development. Throughout the project I could count on Liz to complete tasks, organize team meetings, document and file notes, as well as facilitate the work on the application itself. Some specific tasks that Liz finished include creating wire frames, developing the UI Design, and implementing portions of the application. Each of the tasks Liz worked on were completed on, or ahead of schedule and showed her skills in these areas. It was such an enjoyable internship working with Liz, she would always make sure her work was done, asked other if they needed assistance on their tasks, and asked for help when she needed it. Overall, Liz was a great coworker and a vital part of the intern team, she can truly master anything that she is tasked." and "Liz and I worked together in Senior Seminar in an Informatics course at The University at Albany.
