Materials Manager: A. Purchase Order Management:Expedited material on a daily basis providing stakeholders with detailed material status for on going and future customer orders. Elevated supplier accountability by setting clear performance expectations for: on time delivery, accurate purchase order PO status, and proactive PO management. PO's with “late” status were reduced from approximately 170 late line items to a manageable daily range of 0-10. B. Receiving/Dispatch:Interviewed candidates, hired and trained a receiving/dispatch lead with no prior manufacturing experience. Training included fundamental Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) theory and best practices, material movement, internal and external communication, process and procedure; and prioritization.With this change of personnel, tangible efficiencies were discernible: reduced number of PO pricing issues, reduced number of misdirected product and more accurate materials status.C. Kitting:Reduced the number of part shortages to kits by sustained purchase order and supplier management. With the support of the product CFT, I would derive the, “clear to build date" (CTB) for the first article unit, and the subsequent long-term production schedule. This process includes the review and verification of customer documentation packages for complete Bills of Material, specifications, programming, test, and quality requirements. Thereafter, duties continued as the top tier customer contact in conjunction with the customer service team. Additional client and product support included the monitoring of project development programs through continuous improvement initiatives.POSITION ACHIEVEMENTS: A. Leader of two manufacturing teams, consisting of four project engineers, two project leads, ten technicians, on two; six month projects at a customer facility. Project tasks included working directly with customer teams to complete the mechanical design (70 ECN’s). Full documentation clean up was required, while procuring materials from an international supply chain base. Assembly and test were under a tight time line, visible to the end customer. B. Successfully executed a product transfer from Europe to the United States. C. Lead the U.S. on-shore materials team in transferring a complex electro-mechanical product from the United States to Singapore. This project had over 300 items that were AVL restricted to U.S. manufacturers. Coordinated the purchase, delivery and shipment of materials to our off shore facility. Directed weekly high-level project status meetings, between our group and the customer.D. Worked in conjunction with the engineering and quality teams to bring a medical electro-mechanical assembly into production. This task included detailed FDA materials traceability.
