Sought out position after realising that the concerns of student members were not being adequately recognised by the committee. Have since sat on the committee for two years, and improved satisfaction among student members, and fostered greater harmony between student, former student, and non-student members. Additionally, helped organise social events and the running of club activities for players who were not playing in ANU hockey 1st XI. Responsibilities also include recruitment and retention of players, organising market day, scouting for players in the inter-hall competition, as well as sitting on the committee, and taking an active role in the administration of the club.

Managed to ensure that the Men’s hockey was able to travel to Japan for an exhibition match against Ritsumeikan University in Ibaraki, Osaka, for their opening festivities. Personally contacted ANU student athletes with offers to play, organised selections and a coach in a period of 3 weeks. Exemplary standards of behaviour were maintained for the tour, and was privileged to be able to represent both the university and country both on and off the pitch

Attended to matters regarding the Burgmann Resident’s Association Constitution. This meant assisting with elections, being consulted in regards to the manner in which the association dispersed funds and purchased items, as well as general policy and procedural matters.

Responsible for running the Resident’s association elections for positions such as President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, Sports and Arts Representatives. Ensured that correct processes were followed and maintained electoral integrity. Taught and mentored the following Returning Officer, during the next set of elections.
