Quality Engineer and CMM Programmer (2009-Present)Ensure quality through continuous improvement and implementation of procedures and policies. Gather and analyze project data for conformity to print specifications using Discus for process and FAI inspections. When nonconformities are found, work with peers to determine the root cause and take appropriate action to correct them. Review drawings for conformance to requirements and make suggestions to process engineers on best machining practices. Implement continuous improvement by programming machines to make operators and processing more efficient. Participate in team meetings and interface directly with coworkers, DCMA and customers to clarify, revise, and to verify prints conform to revision levels on FAIs.Responsible for programming, organizing programs and keeping revisions current on six Zeiss CMMs including one four axis and one six axis CMM, one Zeiss O inspect multi-sensor CMM, two OGP multi-sensor CMMs and one Rond Com machine.Experienced at working with aerospace customers including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, L3-Harris, and Honeywell, Projects include programming and inspecting projects such as the electro-optical targeting system for F35 fighter jets, James Webb space telescope for Ball aerospace, beam tubes for the detectors on the European Organization for Nuclear Research, wall tiles for the Joint European Torus nuclear fusion project, and miscellaneous space flight software.Mentor other personnel by training coworkers and new employees on Zeiss CMMs and General Dynamics procedures and processes. Currently training coworker to be an off-line programmer. Problem solve for coworkers when machines are not producing viable results. Created training manual to aide in comprehension of Zeiss machines to teach coworkers more effectively.
