This allowed extra functionality to be added to the website such as display of relevant points of interest for hotels and destinations.- Maintained and implemented improvements to the backend applications which were largely written in Perl, rewriting some of these legacy applications into Java where necessary.- Utilised external APIs such as the Google Maps API and Google AdWords API to automate tasks previously managed manually.- Was heavily involved in the rebranding of the website replacing the old table based HTML design with a standards compliant CSS centric improvement.
