Assist outside sales staff through facilitating customer needs and questions. Served as liaison between production/development teams and sales staff or customers. Coordinated and conducted customer visits to manufacturing locations, serving as tour guide and public relations contact for Milliken Hospitality Carpets. Assisted in hiring and training new staff both in sales and marketing. Assisted in developing new media outlets and marketing avenues to better communicate with current and potential customers. Occasionally called upon to answer public direct "800" line to field public questions or concerns.

Served public needs by answering walk-ins, telephone calls and dispatching and coordinating Troopers on patrol to respond as needed. Managed day to day operations of Patrol Post including statistical data of Troopers' activity. Trained new staff in departmental policies as well as public relations and operation of various forms of communication; both electronic and interpersonal. Trained to eventually progress through Trooper School to serve the public on the road. As the "SCEO" at the LaGrange, GA installation of the Georgia State Patrol, I oversaw the operation of the base radio equipment for law enforcement purposes, and managed the daily routine workings of the patrol post. My responsibilities included responding to the emergency needs of the general public, supporting the troopers on patrol, assisting with investigative information processing, maintaining accurate and detailed logs of all radio traffic, the investigative use of the GCIC/NCIC terminal, and use of area tow services when needed, and also to provide training for new staff members on the workings and procedures of operating the radio equipment. I was also responsible for collecting, tracking, and reporting the activity data concerning arrests, warnings, traffic accidents worked, and road information to the post and troop commanders on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. This information was critical to statewide statistical analysis. I had extensive contact with the public and worked to field their questions and provide safety information as well as handle the sales of accident reports in the absence of the post secretary. My experience with the state patrol also exposed me to the workings of an organization that functions with a paramilitary chain of command.
