I completed my PhD in the Faculty of Education in September 2015. My dissertation received an ranking of "excellent"​ and was entitled "Enacting Educational Spaces: A Landscape Portrait of Privatization in Cambodia."

Published quarterly by M.E. Sharpe, this international peer-reviewed journal is devoted to original inquires and dialogue on education across the member states of the Council of Europe. The journal features articles on education in individual member states as well as the impact of European education initiatives globally. The journal especially encourages theoretical and empirical studies, interdisciplinary perspectives, and critical examination of the impact of political, economic, and social forces on education. Phnom Penh

I advised on the pre-employment training of data management operators to ensure new operators have strong skills when they start work at DDD. I also researched and recommended revisions to scholarship study program to strengthen performance of operators while at DDD, thus improving work-study students’ ability to secure good jobs and better futures.

Siem Reap

Coordinated the development of this new program within TLC by designing the structure of the program, hiring three staff members, and developing policy and procedures. Conduct research and evaluations on education phenomena in Cambodia.Oversee a program of 3 staff members and a $32,000 USD budget.Monitored and evaluated This Life Behind Bars Program, Lower Secondary School Development Program, and the Student Assistance Program. Advised on the management and implementation of two AusAID grants.Strategically planned for the sustainable growth of a research and consultancy department within TLC’s operations that will be Cambodian operated.

Primary researcher on the equity and quality issues of private tutoring in Siem Reap district. This yearlong research was supported by the Open Society Institute – with contribution of the Education Support Program of OSI BudapestMonitored and evaluated This Life Behind Bars Program and the Lower Secondary School Development Program.

I taught advanced English in Taipei, Taiwan for three summers.
