Moorabool Valley Eggs (formally Happy Hens Egg Farm) is an egg-producing business operating near Meredith, producing and packing over 400,000 eggs per day. Responsibilities:• Manage maintenance team and OHS implementation across the site• Develop, implement and maintain OHS Management System, including policies, procedures and work instructions for all operational and manual handling activities• Provide supervision and leadership in OHS , quality, environment, maintenance, production, cost, continuous improvement, and human resource management• Coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance activities in order to ensure plant capacity is maintained in line with OHS requirements• Plan, schedule and coordinate all maintenance work and maintain appropriate records for analysis and reporting• Manage internal and external QSE audit program• Conduct investigation and ongoing management of workplace incidents, injuries and near misses• Coordinate and monitor risk assessments• Coordinate and conduct OHS committee meetings• Conduct site induction activities and training for staff and contractorsAchievements:• Setting up a hazard/ near miss reporting process that is easy to use and provides accountability for the corrective actions• Reducing the number of Lost Time Injuries (LTI) on site from 9 to 2 in the last financial year

Cohealth is one of Australia’s largest community health organisations delivering services across over 40 sites in and around Melbourne. I held responsibility across all sites, setting up and overseeing designated work groups that incorporated over 900 employees, students and volunteers. I was the first point of contact for all OHS matters, I provided advice and support to managers and staff whilst educating and promoting a best practice approach. This was a newly created role with a strong focus on developing and implementing policies and procedures that supported cohealth’s Workplace Health and Safety Framework and management plans.Achievements:Development of key workplace health & safety documents such as the Emergency Management Plan and Health and Safety Policy as well numerous other documents. Writing OHS site Reports, assessing the risks and seeing the highest risks being eliminated or reduced.
