· Raised numerous invoices daily, ensuring validity and accuracy of data recorded in the financial systems and that all queries and discrepancies are investigated and resolved.· Process banking payments & managed all incoming payments.· Investigate and respond to phone and email enquiries from staff, managers, customers etc. in accordance with HMRC customer care and service delivery standards.· Assisted in managing the monthly aged debt and producing reports, chasing outstanding payments and liaising with customers whilst maintaining customer records.· Involved with user testing for the HM treasury Oracle system.

As a Graduate from College, I was very keen to gain experience and knowledge within a Government Department. I was selected to attend a movement into work Sector Based Work Academy Programme (SWAPS) for a 2-month Administration Officer work experience which has given me the opportunity to complete the following; I completed an 8-week work experience at the DWP in Stockton Job centre plus. This enabled me to learn new skills and get experience of working in the Civil Service. Whilst working at the Job centre I completed a lot of administration tasks, including IT Work, assisting universal credit clients with setting up personal email accounts. I use Microsoft word, excel (Intermediate level), PowerPoint and Libra (an internal free document package - similar to word) on a daily basis. I have been responsible for ordering and filing of the department’s receipts for various claims. This required paying close attention to detail, logical thinking, with efficiency and in a timely manner so that finance can reconciliate outstanding expense claims. I was also commissioned by my manager to help front of house at a Stockton on Tees Training Hub Jobs Fair for part time Christmas employment opportunities where my role included meeting and greeting clients and directing them to the relevant employers stands. I found this very satisfying and got to meet a lot of people looking for part time work alongside meeting a wide range of employers.
