I worked with students based internationally as a specialist Physics tutor. This work was remote and held using Zoom and the remote classroom software ClassIn.My usual classes were with individual students, who were either based abroad or studying at boarding school in the UK. I helped them prepare for interviews as they applied to study Physics, Mathematics and Engineering at top UK universities. I taught International Advanced Level Physics and Mathematics. My experience proved helpful for mock interviews, provoking students to apply their existing knowledge beyond the scope of the syllabus.The greatest challenge I undertook was teaching a weekly class of twenty students remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic. They were students studying International GCSE Physics at an Italian high school, and I had to not only source lesson materials but tailor my use of language to ensure the context was fully understood.

I assisted the design and construction of several assignments. Projects included roofing, custom interior and exterior storage solutions, and repairing the timber work of a lovely old cottage in Horningsea. I diligently followed instructions, and I was careful to take only initiative as suitable for someone of my experience and qualification! I kept supplies and tools organised. I used tools including chop saws and angle grinders in a safe and effective manner. I contributed to the design process and implemented my ideas, such as estimating necessary quantities of materials and considering additional features to a product that would suit the client's lifestyle. I enjoyed the learning experience of a more practical occupation, which applied what I knew from Design & Technology classes.
