As an upcoming senior at the University of Dayton, I have always found an importance in being well-rounded and learning from experiences and relationships. In my first couple of years in school, I've tried to apply myself to this standard as best I can.My first year, I took an opportunity to travel to Costa Rica to study their renewable resource system. I was amazed at how efficient their system is and felt I had started to open myself up to new possibilities in engineering. I looked forward to how I could think about what I learned in the future.My second year, I wanted to dive into civil engineering and took a Co-Op in the spring of 2023 with The Kleingers Group. I developed my skills in CAD and Civil 3D, working on drawing plans for new and existing developments in southwest Ohio.I finished up my work term that spring to pursue another opportunity abroad for a month that summer. Traveling with a group of classmates, I visited different areas of Italy, studying engineering with relation to space and surroundings.All these experiences have opened my mind up to endless possibilities in engineering, and as I further my career in school, I hope to continue to learn and develop myself as a civil engineer.
