The bid will define what is being offered and the review will ensure the Company is capable of meeting the requirements and that the offer is competitive, so that the business may be won. Any unspecified, applicable regulatory and legal requirements, including the MED will be identified and documented in the bid as considered relevant.Bids are followed up to secure the business, as considered necessary. Lost business is reviewed to learn for future bids, where possible.Sales – Customer orders and contracts are reviewed against the bid and any discrepancies resolved.The order is allocated a Works Reference Number from the Order Register. An Order Handover Sheet is prepared and signed for the review. This will detail as applicable, any special requirements and preventive actions.At a handover meeting with the assigned Project Engineer, they are briefed and given, and then sign for all the applicable documents. As applicable to the project, material is purchased, drawings are passed to Production, or the Subcontractor with a Purchase Order to produce and assemble the product.Inspection and testing, and design verification and validation are also part of the Project Engineer position scope.Regular reviews are held with the Draftsman, Project Engineers, Production, Subcontractor, and if applicable the Customer, to ensure the product meets the requirements of the specification, costs and delivery.
