Working with a 7 man team where we safely abide by all OSHA and ISO 14000 rules and regulations with the operation of the furnaces as well as ISO 26000. Wearing the proper PPE when loading the furnaces, covering all exposed areas. Ear plugs for noise pollution must be worn. Safety head gear must be worn at all times for head protection. Working in a confined space, we first must lock out tag out all power sources before cleaning the furnaces. Working in a confined space Fall protection must be worn to clean out AOD furnaces. First signed off by marine chemist to ensure furnaces are free of Argon before entering. While on the safety team I have spearheaded projects that limited slips trips and falls in the foundry, metal department. Regularly attended all safety meetings to discuss concerns about safety and making department improvements.Perform weekly checks on all eye stations to make sure they working properly as needed.
