Nevada Neon Project is a local non-profit dedicated to the preservation, cultural interpretation, and exhibition of historic Nevada neon artifacts. As the Executive Director, I ensure that we consistently embody the vision of the organization and grow our collection and sustainable partnerships to engage in best practices for preservation. I have proven success in developing and coordinating collaborations with civic and business groups like University of Nevada, Reno, the Western Folklife Center, MGM Resorts International, the Nevada Museum of Art, and Caesars Entertainment. I cultivate interest in our project and oversee grant writing, management, and evaluation for various installations. As Executive Director, I am project and social media content manager, budget director, and lead administrator over contractors, volunteers, and artists from concept to exhibition.

As an educator at Carson Montessori School, I conceived of and implemented a plethora of projects as the Experiential Education Director. Student access to engaging and relevant STEAM learning was the focus of community partnerships and travel within and outside of the state. I developed long-term and embedded community learning explorations including a STEM based field trip to San Francisco, a lab project to design prosthetic hands for underprivileged children with disabilities, a cultural study of Shakespeare culminating in attendance at Shakespeare at the Lake, and a highly popular after school program based on principles of STEAM called Makers Club. To increase student leadership opportunities and community outreach, I also initiated a student-led effort to pass a bill in 2019 and collaborated closely with a bi-partisan group of Nevada legislators and their staff to provide authentic experiences and interactions to students as they lobbied for the passage of their bill. As a result, AB 182 was passed unanimously and signed by the Governor surrounded by our students.
