This group agreed to a new structure for department-level process improvement: Unit-Based Teams, a model first pioneered by the Kaiser Permanente Labor Management Partnership- Each Unit Based Team is co-led by a physician, manager, and union rep, and operates by consensus. Expected result is deeper, broader buy-in, better sustainment of improvements, and joint ownership of results• Currently leading implementation of the Unit-Based Teams program
