The role is responsible for accounts processing, recording and reporting on JRF’s investments and grant funding programmes to enable the organisation to monitor its income and expenditure in key areas of activity. It also supports the Head of Financial Management with monthly tasks including regular journals, accounts analysis and report preparation to ensure that accurate and timely financial reporting is completed.• Contributes to the management and control of c.£5m grant expenditure annually• Processing of invoices and monitoring costs of over 200 grant projects• Monitors return on investments of a portfolio valued in excess of £400m providing annual income of c.£7m

General ResponsibilitiesFacilitating the day to day running of the foundation. This includes:- Petty Payment Invoicing checks- General facilities guidance and support- Ebis Finance system (raising PO's and generating GRN's)- NYS Corporate Travel (purchasing rail tickets/ booking hotels for internal staff)- Placing Catering Orders - Office Improvement, space planning and supportFinancial Management Investment Tracking:Monitoring JRF's chosen Fund Managers performance through monthly statements and past data. Evaluating UK and Overseas funds (Markets include: equities, commodities, FX, property investment, illiquid strategies) Flagging key indicators of price/ valuation movement. Populating vital figures in a journal entry format for Open Accounts.Process grant programmes and projects inc/exp in the accounting system through CRM and MIG files. Monitoring/ recording transactions - monies received via credit/ debit machines across the 5 JRF/JRHT sites to comply with service provider regulations to prevent additional chargers. Updating Financial Delegated Authority database and making department managers aware of who has access to EBIS systems and their spending limits.
