I am a HGV Class 1 driver working for Containerlift Services Ltd as a sidelifter operator. I have been with the company since November 2021 and I am really enjoying the job and the company itself. Previously I was working for Portable Space Ltd as a HGV Class 1 HIAB operator. I was responsible for transporting and lifting portable buildings, containers and other items as required, using a 65TM lorry loader crane. I have been working in the transport industry since 2008, primarily working from the local ports but in different sectors, including: container shipping, un-accompanied trailers, refrigerated goods, flatbeds and silo tankers, to name a few. In the future I would like to work in the fleet side of the industry (including specification/design of new vehicles/equipment), but also with an interest in training and developing “best practice” procedures.
