For almost two years now I have been the Produce Supervisor at Costco Warehouse. This has been a very rewarding and challenging experience. From starting in mid-2018 and learning how to merchandise, to taking over an entire department, I have had the opportunity to grow in multiple areas of leadership. While working with my team I have learned about scheduling, conflict resolution, and setting a vision for the department. As an individual, I have worked with buyers on getting credit for a spoiled product, managing the inventory of my department, and working with members. I know how to communicate with a team, managers, people, and meet corporate expectations. Over the years I have had a lot of kitchen experience; from working as a server in high school to managing a kitchen. As a server, I learned how to be successful at customer assistance by putting the consumer first through good communication and working in excellence. When I was a pitmaster of a BBQ restaurant, I learned recipes, proper cooking methods, and food safety. When I became a manager for the Black Walnut I managed a crew on the line getting food out quickly, safely, and efficiently. I also had to take inventory of food prep ensuring we had the correct amount of ingredients and supplies to get us through the day.Every opportunity and challenge that has presented itself these last few years has helped me grow as a leader. Every job and learning experience has helped prepare me for the next step in my career. I believe I will succeed because of my skill set and my ability to learn in any situation.
