There is of course some logic to this; metrics can be an indicator of the success of your marketing efforts (though this isn't always the case), but if your sole purpose - your "why" - behind your marketing is simply in service of the numbers, then you're missing something crucial.At its core, marketing is two things: storytelling and relationship building. You are telling the story of your company/business in order to establish and nurture mutually beneficial relationships, namely the relationships between you and your ideal customers. See how that adds a layer of humanity to the equation? All of the viewers, followers, and website visitors are entire human beings with hopes and dreams and favorite colors!
