At Radley, we have two types of programmers: Developers and Consultants, and I am a hybrid of the two. In addition to these positions, I support and collaborate with my colleagues as they come to me with questions on anything from coding to getting database connections to "act nicely" with our services, to installing our programs through RDP on customer servers.Developers are responsible for the development and maintenance of our Windows desktop, WPF, C#, XAML application "Materials Management" and all "Standard" code. We are now moving our client into an Angular Web based "Materials Management" with a. NET Core Rest API as our backend / middle tier. - Materials Management is an Administrative type of application, which is geared towards data management for many different purposes: Inventory, Labor Tracking, Task Management, Pharmaceutical tracking, Data Collection, Users, and the list goes on into custom screens such as Scan-Pick scenarios.- Standard code includes our services written in C# (acted upon by web service calls), WatchDog modules (executable code that can be scheduled for various purposes), and Standard BaseDev code written in VB.NET (integrates with Consultant custom BaseDev code)* This is my main position at this timeConsultants are responsible for interacting with an assigned customer, creating and reviewing SOWs, developing server-side BaseDev code, and developing custom handheld device user interfaces, written with Radley, CDT, code, which calls into that server-side BaseDev code, which may then call into the Standard services. - The handheld devices are used in processing like Scan-Pick, moving inventory, etc. Stream lining manufacturing for the most part.* I rarely interact with Customers through this secondary positions, and when I do, it is normally with their IT leads or consultants.

Database Assistant Preparing data from files for integration into web applications through Oracle SQL Developer. Manipulating data for testing purposes in web applications. Experience with Oracle's SQL and PL/SQL. Databases are housed in a Linux environment; therefore, I had bash development experience, as well.Web Application Programmer Mostly independent programming work through Eclipse. Writing in Java, Javascript, including JQuery and AngularJS, HTML, and CSS. Opportunities working in a team with other developers had arisen. Build and dependency manager used: Maven.I was under a learning curve as I had entered this internship without any prior knowledge in web development. After independently studying back-end to front-end development, HTML, CSS, and Javascript libraries, I became a fully contributing team member as an intern.Projects:- CRI Admin Tool (CAT) Independent web project written in back-end Java and SQL and front-end HTML, CSS, and JQueryUsed internally by our technical team (administrators). The CAT is a window to our database to allow experienced and non-experienced users to manipulate data, projects, and users that the Johnson Center manages.- MAFIA Also called the Address_Standardizer. Same developement as the CAT. A user uploads a CSV file full of addresses that need to be geocoded (given a latitude and longitude). The user then matches the fields of the CSV to the fields of a representation of a table in our database. Upon a successful upload to the database, MAFIA fires off Oracle stored processes to standardize the addresses in the uploaded file, match the records with existing, pre-geocoded addresses in a master table, and updates the uploaded records with found geocodes. The user finishes the application by downloading the standardized, geocoded addresses in an Excel format.- Common Log In - Back-end Java and SQL jar to be used by all new programs that intend to use some sort of log in form to stream-line this process.
