Quantified habitat change for the Pascagoula Estuary and the Gulf Islands National Seashore using historical panchromatic aerial photography, multi-spectral, and hyper-spectral imagery with textural and statistical methods resulting in a publication in Geo-Carto international.-Measured the relationship between plant species, their growth patterns, and elevation by collecting GPS points, tree cores, and plant species data on Cat Island and Sand Island, MS, resulting in three years of data collection acknowledgement in two peer-reviewed journal articles (Remote Sensing and Journal of Coastal Research). -Provided guidance to undergraduate students using ENVI and ESRI software for remote sensing projects by assisting in the development of methods to include vegetation and fire indices and image calibration using linear regressions

Aid in habitat and storm water restoration efforts of the Crabtree Canal in Conway, SC by developing and maintaining a tree health monitoring geo-databases that was used to keep track of over 800 native trees and shrubs plant in the newly restored flood plain of Crabtree Canal Measure sediment profiles at several pre-determined transects on a monthly basis to gauge sediment deposition along the newly-restored floodplain. Develop geodatabase and process for classifying land using historical aerial photography. Collect and process Ground Penetrating RADAR (GPR) for the purpose of detecting paleo-channels for the prediction of ground water flow.
