For 20 years, I channeled my leadership and communications skills into making soccer more popular in the United States. It worked. During my 15 years shaping and amplifying Major League Soccer’s message, the enterprise grew from 12 to 26 teams and average club valuations increased more than 25x to $550M in 2020. I’ve led groups of up to 13 FTEs and collaborated with external teams of commercial and media partners, non-profits, local governments, pro teams & athletes, governing bodies, consultants, and production companies. My primary strengths are relationships, leadership and project management. I've honed these while earning gobs of positive media coverage for my employers: More than 450 national and international placements -- Business, Lifestyle, Human Interest, Event & Breaking News stories -- on TV, Print, Radio, Online, Social Media and Podcasts. I’ve produced ~200 videos, including a 60 min documentary about David Beckham. As a reporter, I wrote 650+ articles for The Washington Post, Soccer America, AP, USA Today, Miami Herald and more. As a Fulbright scholar in 2005, I practiced sports journalism in Buenos Aires, Argentina for 11 months with guidance from El Gráfico magazine. Now I want to deliver public-facing solutions for a company or organization that improves our planet’s health. I see climate change, water scarcity, food insecurity, plastic pollution and biodiversity loss as opportunities to save and improve lives. And I can help.I recently graduated from Climate Drift’s Career Accelerator program. I previously completed AirMiners’ Boot Up course. I am volunteering for a nonprofit that is perhaps Florida’s most underrated defense against the climate crisis: Ecosphere Restoration Institute.Let's talk. Maybe I can help you tell your story.
