Hi! My name is William Lay, and I am a recent graduate from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.S. in Architecture and a minor in Environmental Analysis.As a young design professional, my passion lies in the intersection of passive sustainability strategies and architecture. As a nation, we rely heavily on mechanical ventilation to supply us with heating and cooling, which is both taxing on the grid and costly for many. I wish to push the envelope of both grid decarbonization and sustainability in design, drawing from my background in the AEC and environmental sectors.My work enables me to directly engage with mixed-use housing, renewable grid infrastructure, solar-ready building requirements, net metering, environmentally-conscious construction materials, passive sustainabile design strategies, as well as LEED and WELL building certifications.
