Passionate and driven Civil Engineering scholar at Purdue University's esteemed Lyles School of Civil Engineering, set to graduate in May 2024. I am committed to excelling academically and making a meaningful impact through leadership and hands-on experience.As the Founder and President of Special Olympics at Purdue University, I've cultivated a community that embraces inclusivity and support, championing a cause close to my heart. Along with my academic pursuits, I've garnered invaluable insights through three diverse internships/research roles:- Field Engineering Internship at PCL Construction (Freshman Summer)- Development Services Internship at Kimley-Horn (Sophomore Summer)- Civil Engineering Research Internship at Bowen Laboratory (Junior Summer)Currently, I am contributing to groundbreaking research as a part-time undergraduate research assistant at Bowen Laboratory. This state-of-the-art facility, the 66,000 square-foot Robert L. and Terry L. Bowen Laboratory for Large-Scale Civil Engineering Research, empowers me to explore the behavior of large structural models and elements under extreme conditions, ensuring future structures are designed to withstand seismic events, blasts, and impacts.My journey in leadership started in high school, coaching Special Olympics and Little League baseball teams, and leading the 2019 5A Colorado state champion tennis team as its captain. Additionally, I've assumed roles as a retreat leader and leader of leaders, nurturing collaborative teams and fostering growth.Driven by a core passion for Civil Engineering, I've embarked on service trips to Ghana and Belize, contributing to the construction of vital infrastructure like wells, housing, libraries, and playgrounds. These experiences reaffirm my belief in the transformative power of Civil Engineering in positively shaping communities worldwide.Eager to continue merging my academic excellence, diverse experiences, and leadership acumen, I aspire to drive innovative solutions that enhance lives and leave a lasting impact through the realm of Civil Engineering.
