PHOTOGRAPHIC ASSISTANTResponsible for the maintenance of the SMH Photographic Department. Monitoring the wires and news services daily for any outstanding news stories to show the news editors. Making sure the photographers are stocked up on film, and making sure their cameras are properly cleaned and serviced. Assisting on studio shoots. Processing and servicing the negatives and film, keeping the Kodak C41 film processors in perfect running condition. Emptying the chemicals from the processors and replacing them with new chemicals. Scanning photos and negatives for photographers, and then captioning them for the photographic library. Assisting the editors with photo requests. Assisting on photoshoots as a backup photographer.

MAIL ROOM COPYBOYResponsible for delivery of mail to news desks, organizing the internal newspaper delivery throughout the entire company each morning, monitor police rounds, and making sure the hourly deliveries of internal mail are monitored throughout the building each day.

Responsible for the creation and retouching for the photomontage cover and often wraparound cover for the Maritime Workers Journal, quarterly magazine distributed to MUA members nationally and internationally for the Maritime Union of Australia.KEY ACHIEVEMENT:Commissioned in the early 2000's for the creation of the giant photomontage mural in the MUA Sydney office foyer. It consisted of many photos and paintings of historical moments in the MUA history, and covers the entire wallspace of the foyer.Responsible for illustrations and photomontages that featured on the cover of numerous issues of the Maritime Workers Journal.
