- Strategic and operational lead for an ambitious cycling charity based at Exeter Quay.- Leading transformational growth by diversifying and increasing our income streams from £84k to £190k per annum in three years, tripling the size of our charities reserves.- Increasing grant and training income from £5k to £40k per annum.- Ensuring our growth is built on solid foundations, by introducing professional business practices such as Xero accounting software, digital VAT registration, taking on more staff, and expanding the size and skills of our fantastic trustee board.- Building partnerships and delivering new projects with organisations such as the NHS, Exeter City Council, Cycling UK and Exeter Community Initiatives.

The Community Panel exists to identify issues, challenges and opportunities in partnership with the local community in Exeter. It has been created to support the development of an annual plan of community engagement.

Volunteer with the Exeter Cycling Campaign.

- Voluntary role on the steering commmittee of the Exeter Cycling Campaign- Engaging with elected councillors, officers and members of the public to enable accessible cycling for all in Exeter.- Writing responses to consultations.- Presenting to local community groups.

- Part-time maternity cover role providing guidance and support to Town and Parish Councils across Devon.- Answering queries on a wide range of topics from local govenment proceedures to planning, finance and GDPR.- Organising training sessions for Town and Parish Council Councillors and staff across Devon.- Coordinating the regional newsletter.- Promoting good practice in local government.

- Casual role helping to wrap up a community building project in North Devon working in South Molton, Holsworth and Lynton & Lynmouth. I was offered the role as a result of my work with the Devon Association of Local Councils.- Organising consultation events.- Promoting the "Know Your Neighbour" campaign to increase neighbourliness.

Voluntary position assisting the Council in promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct amongst its Elected Members. Helping the Council’s Standards Committee by being asked to consider any complaints that a Member has breached the Code of Conduct with the City Council’s Monitoring Officer, before any decision on the appropriate action is taken.

-Managing a department with 8 permanent and 13 casual staff.-Budget holder for £264,000 of expenditure, including processes such as PO numbers, invoicing, expense claims, nominal ledgers and financial reforecasting.- Checking health & safety for thousands of student events every year.- Supporting membership administration for 245 student groups and societies with over 11,000 members.- Facilitating 1600 volunteers on a wide range of community volunteering projects, including working with children and vulnerable adults.- Fundraising over £200,000 annually, working with 700 student volunteers across a wide range of events and projects.- Managing the booking of a range of building and spaces, including meeting rooms, music recording studios and theatre spaces.- Overseeing the loan of £400,000 of musical equipment to 1100 students.- Compliance and licencing for a student newspaper, radio station, website and TV station.- Providing support, advice and briefings to elected officers and senior staff on a wide range of topics.

Trustee for a small charity which focuses on providing activities and learning opportunities for the over 50s. As a board member I provide legal, financial and strategic direction for the charity.

- Running the University of Exeter Students'​ as Change Agents program. The number of projects completed increased from 40 in 2012/13 to 126 in 2014/15 (http://as.exeter.ac.uk/eqe/projects/change/) - Supporting College based Student Engagement staff to improve academic representation, the Teaching Awards, Research Uncovered and broader student engagement activity.- Carrying out student consultations relating to topics such as mature students, library fines, second campus sites and internal communications.- Consulting with students to support the creation of the new University Education Strategy.- Running training sessions for University staff on how to run effective training sessions and student communications.In 2014 student engagement work at Exeter was recognised by two national awards. The NUS/HEA award for best partnership and the NUS award for best academic representation.In 2015 the Students as Change Agents project was recognised by the University Professional Services Awards as the best project at the University.

Responsible for the unit which delivers Academic Representation, Democracy, Campaigns, Governance, Student Representation and Research. As unit head I am a line manager and budget holder.I have;- Reviewed the Universities processes for academic representation leading to a report being approved by the University. This provided a platform for a number of successful University projects including Students as Change Agents, the Teaching Awards and the Shadowing scheme. - Doubled our sabbatical election turnout to 35% with participation higher than local council elections. - Moved our decision making processes online leading to every democratic record being broken. This includes a referenda with 2441 votes and a AGM with almost 1000 student votes. Over 45% of the student body voted in 12/13- Created and delivered the Exeter Teaching Awards for four years. These are now the largest in the sector with over 2400 nominations in 2013.- Increased annual unit income from £500 to over £30,000.- Overseen the research and development of the Students' Guild Visions for Education.- Supported analysis and recommendations using the NSS, PTES, PRES and ISB.- Created an innovative system for monitoring the performance of governance through traffic lighting. - Carryed out two rewrites of our governing documents. One in response to the 2006 charities act and one as a result of our incorporation in 2010.- Successfully managed and developed 7 permanent members of staff as well as numerous casual staff- Provided operational advice and support to our annual celebration of international diversity, Diversity Week.- Introduced an organisation wide approach to campaigns based on a standardised template. This has played a part in our successful campaigns to stop council plans to turn off street lighting, reducing HMO restrictions and to introduce conflict free mineral policies in the Guild, University and NUS.- Provided support and training to thousands of students.

External Trustee for a Charitable organisation. Voluntary position, appointed by interview. Responsible for legal, financial and strategic scrutiny of the work of SUBU with a focus on democracy and representation.

Auditor for the QAA. Recieved full training and carried out two audits (Sheffield Hallam University and Royal Holloway University)
