I worked as a Java developer on the Tactical Display Framework (TDF) and related products which are situational awareness displays for military and commercial customers. My focus was on satellite imagery, spherical geometry, networking, and application performance. My team developed the 3D view for TDF using JOGL to directly access OpenGL functionality from Java.

As an intern I was assigned small projects that were "nice to have" or "could we do this" allowing the senior developers to focus on required features.Projects included: writing a configuration wizard for ESPRIT/RMT, optimizing the performance of JFreeChart graphs, converting XML data to HTML via XSL, and auto-generating C++/Java code from XML via XSL as a replacement for the current code auto-generation implementation.
