About Will Sacks
Music venue advocate, seasoned event producer, venue strategy manager, and live music advocate with distinct experience in experiential activations and conference production. In my 6+ years working across the music and entertainment industry, I've worked seamlessly across departments, with proven success in operations, marketing, talent booking, and conference production, teaming up with elite venues and brands like City Winery, the American Association of Independent Music, and NIVA along the way. Before the pandemic, my work at Fans.com and a handful of NYC's premier independent venues laid the groundwork to understand the challenges at the heart of the modern entertainment industry. When the pandemic uprooted me from the National Sawdust production office, I took up a volunteer position at NIVA to help new members find the right resources. Through my work at NIVA, I began working at Marauder where I was able to leverage my background in event operations to produce a few massively successful digital conferences and lead Independent Venue Week, an annual venue appreciation event, to wide acclaim. During my time managing Independent Venue Week, Independent Venue Week 2021 membership increased by 163% over 2020, representing a 347% increase since 2019.In my current role as a Location Scout at Fever, I've helped Producers and Assistant Producers source venue options across North America for events that have sold in excess of 500,000 tickets across events like Harry Potter: The Forbidden Forest Experience (NY), Stranger Things: The Experience and Bridgerton: The Queens Ball Experience.
