About Will Vance
As a Physics and English double major, I like to think I have a unique perspective on the world. The two disciplines often seem worlds apart, but I believe fundamentally they have a similar appeal. Both seek to make sense of the world and keep us questioning. There is a reason that the moon, sun, and stars feature so heavily in poetry as well as physics — they inspire awe from both angles.During my time at Hope College I gained experience conducting physics research, tutoring physics and math, and editing peer-produced work. In other words, I can effectively write, edit, and communicate in a wide variety of contexts - from creating posters for astrophysics conferences to editing someone's essay on Beowulf.Moving forward, I'm open to any job that uses my skill set. I am looking forward to discovering the same magic I found in my majors out there in the world.
