My work is to connect people with Vancouver and its history. As the Founder & General Manager at Forbidden Vancouver Walking Tours I create compelling, fascinating, and memorable experiences, based on Vancouver's most interesting and shocking stories. I coach and lead a team of incredible guides - on any given night you can find any one of us entertaining guests on walking tours through Vancouver's dark past.I am a frequent public speaker on Vancouver history and have featured several times on CBC TV and radio, the Fiona Forbes show on Shaw TV, Novus TV, CKNW, Go Vancouver and CityTV. I was also a contributing author to Vancouver Confidential, published in 2014 by Anvil Press.My work takes place on the unceded ancestral lands of the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-waututh nations. I'm grateful to live, work, and learn in this beautiful part of the world. In sharing our city's histories I'm conscious of the many thousands of years our local First Nations have practiced oral storytelling here. I do my best to honour that practice in my own storytelling.
