Hi there! I'm Willa, an instructional designer and eLearning developer, with a passion for designing learning experiences that are impactful and engaging. The best way to learn more about me and see my featured projects is via my website: www.willasimmet.com I'm an educator with 7 years of experience, specializing in instructional design for learners at a variety of different literacy and learning levels. I have designed instructional materials and implemented learning courses for audiences spanning from adult English language learners who are not yet literate in their first language to professional educators focused on specific skill development. In my most recent role as a literacy specialist on my school's Instructional Leadership team, I created and designed professional development training for 60+ adult professionals using a variety of e-learning tools. My experience organizing and leading adult learners led to the implementation of school-wide literacy strategies and more equitable needs assessments. I also created and implemented instruction for small groups of students focused on intensive literacy instruction.
