Network Monitoring Analyst
-Regional management system support for CISCO networks and Juniper Security Networks.-Basic troubleshooting of DHCP, SMNP, IpConfig, PPPoE, Cloud, ATM, Ring, VOIP, BGP, Telnet, and application support following the OSMI Model along with other in depth troubleshooting of virtual servers and higher hierarchy troubleshooting for global networks.-DOD clearance and troubleshooting on higher level router and switches for tracking a procedure for airline maintenance and disaster recovery concerning any network outages.-Participated in Escalation/Notification, Change Management, Service Restoration, Root Cause Analysis, and Daily Service Review.-Change Management: ◦Use GCARS as a reference for any changes. ◦Use Neteiss for contact and network device information ◦Document all problems using USD, CPMT, or appropriate ticketing system.Incident Management: ◦Respond to network related outages on multiple customer networks, either detected via network monitoring tools or escalated by the customer or other lines of service ◦Work with carriers, ISPs, and customer contacts to troubleshoot and resolve problems ◦Participate in service restoration teams when major outages occur ◦Follow up on outages that have been resolved to determine reason for outage (RFO) ◦Resolve events with the use of SMARTS/CISCO WORKS/OPENVIEW/ Concord e-health and other types of troubleshooting toolsProblem Resolution: ◦Respond to alarms, queries, tickets, and voice mail in a timely manner ◦Follow documented, standard operating procedures and various network management tools to isolate and resolve problems ◦Escalating incidents as documented in standard procedures, and ensuring that senior management is informed, as necessary ◦Developing, implementing and reporting on performance to standard operating procedures. Ensure that documented procedures are kept current and accessible. ◦Interfacing with collaborative work groups to resolve service issues
