Tip Toppers is a project created, designed and produced by Will Baab. They are little notes for customers to give to their server as a little extra thank you and personalization for their tip.

As an intern I learned about the letterpress process and history. Selecting paper and mixing ink, cutting paper, typesetting, inking the press, lining text and image up on the page, cleaning the press. I also helped restore and move presses as well as kept supplies in the studio organized. I was also able to help with design and do some freelance design and printing of my own.

I designed environmental panels with the in house design team for a couple exhibits. Most of the panels were fairly large (45in x 50-55in), but also designed posters, signs and supporting images for the exhibit pieces. I participated in meetings planing the exhibit and the issues that come up when working on a large scale exhibit such as the one I helped with.
