My duties changed many times throughout my service, starting as a rifleman in an Infantry line squad, I acquired hundreds of skills that built proficiency and discipline. I was quickly promoted and given the position of Vehicle Commander. My duties were to maintain millions of dollars worth of equipment ranging from the vehicle and its weapon systems to the advanced navigation and communication systems of the M1126 Stryker ICV, providing reliable transport, communication relay with ground and air elements, as well as a mobile heavy machine gun platform for my squad of nine Infantrymen. I served not only as a Vehicle Commander but as a dismounted Squad Automatic Weapon gunner in an Infantry line squad in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2013-2014.

Ankeny Iowa

During my short time at the John Deere Des Moines Works in Ankeny, Iowa I worked on the "Millenium Line" welding together the mainframes of the 7760 Cotton Picker and Harvester. Along with rotational duties of manufacturing the small parts such as ladders and brackets associated with the equipment, on a demanding work schedule of 12 hour days 6 days a week.

Albany, Missouri

My postion as a production worker at GHS consisted of knowing how to operate a wide spectrum of machines that cut cardboard tubes to various sizes and diameters for a wide range of purposes. Everything from carpet roll tubes, to dynamite tubes had to be produced in mass quantities and often required very precise and quick dexterity in order to keep up with production. Large orders of various products had to be filled, packaged and loaded for transport within the plant.
