As part of Universal Music Publishing’s Global Technology team, I work alongside Universal Production Music’s global Executive Team to help identify strategic technical initiatives and opportunities. My role also involves maintaining and developing UPM’s arsenal of tools and web apps with the ultimate goal of enabling the broadcast industry to find and license music from our catalogues.

Responsible for Sony/ATV Music Publishing business applications worldwide including custom music search products and digital asset management systems. This included their global synch pitch tool and marketing website www.sonyatv.com and their production music search application www.emipm.com. In addition, I also worked on developing a pitch tool for their global A&R teams.

Overseeing the production output of EMI Production Music’s catalogues and the distribution of their music through various channels including our music search system - www.emipm.com.In this role I was focused integrating their systems and making their production process as streamline as possible to ensure correct data was provided for both the global registration and distribution of their catalogues. Part of my role included analysing their website stats and feeding back to their A&R team to help steer music production and pick up on client trends.

Overseeing the digital distribution of our music globally. Included project managing the creation of a new online music search system holding over 500,000 copyrights and with 40,000 active users worldwide.

Managing the metadata of EMI Production Music's catalogues. Included optimising our metadata for EMI's music search system as well as 3rd party systems globally. In addition i also worked as a producer creating content for our various owned catalogues.

Searching EMI Production Music's catalogues in order to fulfill music briefs submitted by our clients in broadcast media and advertising.

Work as both session and live musician. Primarily Jazz / Latin-Jazz drums / percussion. UK Venues played include Jazz Café, South Bank, Vortex and London and Manchester jazz festivals. Highlights include playing alongside Scratch Perverts, Foreign Beggars, Gilad Atzmon, John Etheridge, Don Weller, Shakatak and Speedometer.I also compose TV music and have had works appear in a number of shows including Mad Men and Gordon Ramsay's F Word.
