Responsible for all aspects of the Hospital Innovations Skills Academy including the organisation of Human Tissue Training Days to promote allograft handling safety for surgical staff, the 'Expert Share' programme for orthopaedic surgeons to share best practice and the 'Centre of Excellence' surgery observation scheme. Organised the Cadaveric Knee Masterclass at Vesalius Clinical Training Centre for an expert faculty focusing on suspensory fixation for ACL reconstruction and cartilage repair solutions.Responsible for the monitoring, organisation and recording of internal staff training programmes and the review and development of Standard Operating Procedure documents.

Democratically elected as the student President of Cardiff Met Students' Union in August 2017. As SU President I was responsible for a multi-million pound charity organisation. My role includes being a company director, acting as the chair of the Board of Trustees, along with being responsible for the financial position and performance of the Students' Union.As Head of the Student Union, representing 11,000 students, I was a Student Governor and University Management Board member, preparing and delivering papers at board level. I worked with key community stakeholders including Cardiff Council, South Wales Police and other community groups to address student safety and wellbeing issues in the city of Cardiff. I created and delivered projects to raise awareness of and reduce the stigma attached to mental health including a puppy petting day that gained national media coverage. I developed a new student ID card policy to remove the cost barrier to replacing a card and in turn creating a safer campus for students. These experiences have given me an understanding of community and stakeholder engagement locally, nationally and internationally including a visit to three partner institutions in Singapore to capture the voice of our international members.Through my role, I was a co-creator in the formulation of a new five-year strategic plan for the University which set the direction of travel for the organisation including decisions on where to invest and deciding on appropriate measures of success. Involvement in these projects gave me a level of strategic insight and an understanding of key factors in the delivery of a plan. I have a strong understanding of strategic risk levels and risk appetite, measures of success and performance metrics as well as the way in which step change can be implemented.

Democratically elected as the SU Vice President for 2016/17. Key responsibilities included heading up the SU's student voice structure for 11,000 students, attending board and committee meetings to constructively challenge the University and supporting the Policy & Procedural Advisor to deliver pastoral support to students during University procedural investigations.

Working to promote the UMAX initiatives to students and staff to raise the profile of UMAX and the Students' UnionA continuation of my previous internship, this role allowed me to work with more departments and a number of new projects and initiatives within the SU with UMAX throughout the Students' Union.
