In this role, I support the Chandra X-ray Observatory mission as a member of the Monitoring and Trending Analysis (MTA) team. My responsibilities include the maintenance of our monitoring models and analysis of the spacecraft sensor data to trend Chandra's performance, as well as developing new modeling software to track new engineering considerations. I also maintain the Chandra USINT website for handling observation contact and scheduling, as well as the various MTA websites which display the spacecraft overall health to support command decisions. Throughout these more technical responsibilities, I also write resources which encode the vast 20+ years’ worth of Chandra experience gathered by my colleagues into documentation for future work in satellite operation.

In this role, I tutored fellow students in collegiate-level physics, math, and computer science courses. My focus involved supplementing typical course lectures with experienced-based methods and storytelling approaches, which better suited one-on-one study and alternative learning styles.

In this role, I participated in a mathematical biology research project in which I incorporated parallel processing and machine learning algorithms into a mitosis simulation. This simulation modeled the force dynamics of motor proteins and mycotic spindle formation. My contributions directly increased the efficiency of the model, as simulation run time was cut down from twenty hours to fifteen minutes.

My work involved assisting, creating, and implementing STEAM oriented education programs for homeschool classes and community workshops.
