The department has 32 uniformed members operating four shifts on a 42 hour work schedule. The department also provides mutual aid to Fall River, Westport, Little Compton, and Portsmouth as well as other communities in our area.The Fire Chief is the Chief Executive Officer in the fire department with responsibility for technical, administrative, and supervising work in planning, organizing, directing, and implementing all aspects of the fire department.
