Counseling public school students and their parents in preparation for Suspension Hearings (Fair Hearings) and advocating for the students at those hearings. Ensuring students received Due Process throughout the suspension or other disciplinary process and pursuant to Education Law § 3214. Ensured suspended students received maximized Alternative Instruction while out of school. Reviewed Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students entitled to such and made recommendations for modification(s) when necessary.
