My goal is to provide individual solutions crafted to each client's needs. This may entail planning a strategy for protection of clients' intellectual property rights through registrations, contracts, licenses, NDA's, works-for-hire, and other negotiated agreements, or litigation to enforce clients' rights. I have assisted clients in protection of all forms of intellectual property rights, including patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets.My graduate training in molecular biology, virology, and biochemistry along with undergraduate work in chemistry, physics, and computer science provide a strong background in both life sciences and physical sciences, which has served my clients well in protection of IP and other complex litigation. It has been my good fortune to represent clients in a diverse range of litigation, including products liability, breach of contract, personal injury, property damage, and mass toxic torts, as well as overseeing thousands of filed claims as court-appointed Claims Administrator of the Crawford/McGowan Class Action for the past two years.As current President of the Intellectual Property Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association, I am proud of the work we have done to inform members of recent ongoing changes to Intellectual Property law.
