Performed inspections/reporting of over 200 rural/remote airports and seaplane bases throughout Alaska in accordance with the FAA 5010 program (FAA Order 5010.4, Appendix 1). Inspection work required piloting personal aircraft to these locations and the flight planning and logistics associated with extended flights in rural Alaska. Procured and managed all aspects of the contract with the Alaska Department of Transportation to perform these services.

- Project Management for the revalidation of BPXA’s Operations Review Team to assure legacy employee concerns have been resolved and closed.- BPXA Liaison with the AK Department of Oil and Gas, Petroleum Systems Integrity Office.- Compilation and analysis of data and information for Congressional reports and testimony.- Preparation of weekly Business Resumption Team and Pipeline Integrity Management Status Reports for the US Department of Transportation.- Mapping regulatory compliance responsibilities and evaluating existing compliance systems utilized by BPXA, including the framework of BP’s Group Compliance Program, Project Emerald and Operations Management System.

Responsible for managing readiness preparation and operations coordination for this Alaska Oil Spill Response Company. Assessed petroleum spills and response tactics with the US Coast Guard and Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation. Also assisted in intensive fishing vessel spill response training with Alyeska SERVS and a Spill Drill with the Teckcominco Red Dog Mine.

Founded Pioneer in 1991 with two partners. Headed Pioneer for over fourteen years to become a successful multi-disciplinary civil and environmental engineering company, employing at the time, 75 professionals with total revenues exceeding $5.5 Million and a payroll of $2 Million annually. Project and program management experience included:-Contract Manager for Atlantic Richfield Company (BP Remediation Management). Focus on engineering design of large waste management areas encompassing over 5,000 acres within the Anaconda NPL Site. Several specific project budgets exceeded $50 Million. Reclamation included extensive wetlands reconstruction.-Principal-In-Charge of the engineering design for the $70 Million Streamside Tailings project. Projects included excavation of approximately 4 million cubic yards of waste, reconstruction of stream channel, flood plain and wetlands.-Contract Manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Department of Interior/Bureau of Land Management Mine Reclamation Program in Montana, South Dakota and North Dakota.-Project Manager for the Engineering and Surveying Services support for the Montana Department of Environmental Quality/Mine Waste Cleanup Bureau. Major tasks have included inventory and prioritization of over 330 mine sites, characterization of 40 sites and full-scale engineering design and construction management of thirteen abandoned mine sites. Projects have received recognition awards from the USDA Forest Service and USDOI Bureau of Land Management. Key participant in developing standard specifications for revegetation of reclaimed mines sites. Worked with vendors to assure native plants seed sources and tube packs (seedlings) were available for projects. Developed monitoring plans for revegetated sites. -Project Manager for the Storm Water Compliance Program for the Montana Department of Transportation/Environmental Bureau.
